Stress & Performance Coaching

Running on empty but pushing through? Stress isn't the problem. It's the signal. Coaching helps you read it and perform at your best.

How do I know if coaching is for me?

If you're performing well on paper but privately running on empty and quietly wondering how long you can keep this up, coaching might be what you need.

Counselling often looks back to understand what's shaped you, but coaching looks at where you are and where you want to be. It then works to close the gap.

Coaching is future-focused, structured, and practical, concentrating on how you think, make decisions, and perform under pressure. It gives you a regular space to step away from the noise, think clearly, and act intentionally, so high performance doesn't cost you your wellbeing.

Together, we'll treat your stress as information rather than a flaw. We'll consider what it's telling you about your limits, priorities, and what might need to change.

And believe me, after hundreds of conversations with overwhelmed professionals, I've learnt that the answer is rarely to just "push through."

"I was able to redefine what was important to me."

"During the sessions with Nic, I was able to redefine what was important to me, and he helped me on a path to truly understand what 'made me tick'. I would recommend men in my position to seek coaching from Nic (young family and career ambitions) to help make sense of it all."

What to expect from coaching

Every coaching relationship starts with a conversation, not a contract.

Before anything else, we'd speak during a complimentary consultation call about what's prompting you to consider coaching, what you'd want from it, and whether we'd be a good fit. No pressure, no obligation. Just an honest conversation.

If we both feel it's right, I'll send you some digital documents to complete. These cover the practical side of our work. Expectations, confidentiality, payments, cancellations, and so on. Once complete, the work begins!

Most people meet with me monthly. It's enough space to act on what we've discussed, without losing momentum. We'd typically agree on an initial block of sessions, then review.

Sessions are structured, but not rigid. We'll typically start by getting clear on what you want to change. Not just the surface goal, but what's underneath it. From there, each session builds on the previous one.

Each session starts with a review of progress or what's shifted, then works through what's current and agrees on what you'll do between sessions. And that last part matters.

Progress happens between the sessions as much as within them. Coaching isn't just a 'good conversation' that leads nowhere. You'll leave each session with something to apply. An action aimed at helping you toward your goal.

How quickly you'll see change will depend on your goal and what you put in. Some people see shifts within a couple of sessions, but deeper patterns can take longer to spot and change.

You can expect that we'll regularly review whether the coaching is giving you what you came for.

"A great business decision."

"A great business decision. Nic's coaching helped increase confidence in my abilities and unlock my potential, enabling me to take my business to the next level. When you run a business by yourself, it's great to have someone in your corner."

- Kingsley, Business Owner, Kingsley Leather

What we can work on together

As a certified performance coach and MBACP registered counsellor, I bring both worlds to coaching. The structure to move you forward and the depth to understand what's really going on.

People come to coaching for different reasons, but the thread is usually the same. Capable people, under sustained pressure, who've grown tired of the idea that "just push through" is the answer.

Together, we can work on:

  • managing stress and pressure without burning out

  • thinking clearly and making decisions when everything feels urgent

  • setting and holding boundaries

  • communicating with confidence, especially in difficult conversations

  • leading others without losing yourself

  • untangling the habits and stories that drive overworking

  • growing in confidence and self-belief

  • getting clear on what you actually want, not just what's expected of you

If what's on your mind isn't on this list, mention it during our call. The list describes where I've helped people most, not the limits of the work.

Some common questions...

What makes this programme different from other stress management programmes?

What sets the Stress Reset Coaching Programmes apart is the structured, progressive approach. Rather than just learning techniques, you'll create lasting change by first understanding your unique stress patterns. Then you'll develop targeted strategies and build them into sustainable habits. The combination of personal tracking tools and one-on-one coaching means you're getting a customised experience, not a one-size-fits-all solution.

I'm already busy, how can I fit this into my schedule?

I understand your time is precious, so the daily activities are designed to integrate into your existing routine, taking just 15-30 minutes per day.

This small time investment will create more time in your day by reducing stress-related inefficiencies. We can also look at your schedule together and identify the best times for these activities, ensuring they support rather than strain your routine.

What if I fall behind or miss some days?

The Stress Reset Coaching Programmes are designed to be flexible while maintaining momentum. If you miss a day, you can easily pick up where you left off. The weekly check-ins help us identify any challenges early, and our one-on-one sessions are perfect opportunities to adjust the approach if needed. This programme is about progress, not perfection.

How do I know if I'm ready for this programme?

The best indicator is your recognition that your current stress management approach could be more effective. If you're feeling the impact of stress on your well-being, work, or relationships, and you're willing to commit 15-30 minutes daily to create change, you're ready! The programmes provide all the tools and support you need; you just need to be willing to engage with the process.

What kind of results can I expect?

The daily tracking helps you see your progress clearly over time. While everyone's journey is different, you can expect several key improvements by day sixty. For example, better sleep, less anxiety around work demands, clearer boundaries, more energy throughout the day, and confidence in handling stressful situations. You'll also develop a practical toolkit of strategies you can use long-term.

What happens after the programme ends?

By the end of the programme, you'll have established new habits and practical tools you can use independently. You'll also have your completed tracking sheets and personalised strategy documents to reference. If you feel you'd benefit from continued support, we can discuss options for maintenance coaching sessions. The goal is to ensure you feel confident managing stress independently while knowing support is available if needed.

What if it doesn't work for me?

Your success is my priority! Regular check-ins and tracking tools help us identify what's working and what isn't, allowing us to adjust our approach to better suit your needs. The one-on-one sessions ensure you're getting personalised support throughout the programme. If you're engaged with the process and completing the activities, you'll definitely see improvement! But rest assured, we'll work together to find the right strategies for you.

How much do your coaching sessions cost?

The Stress Reset Coaching Programmes start at £750.00. We'll discuss the details of each programme during your consultation call to ensure you feel confident in choosing the option that best meets your needs and goals. After your consultation call, you will be able to assess the value of the outcome you desire and decide on whether the programs are the right investment for you. Book your free consultation call to discuss the challenges you're facing, what the programme offers, and whether we'd be a good fit.

Do you offer payment options?

I believe in making this investment manageable. The programs can be paid in full, or we can discuss the payment plan options. The investment includes all one-to-one coaching sessions, daily tracking tools, weekly reviews/check-ins, ongoing email support, and the programme resources and materials. I'm happy to provide more details about the payment options that would work best for you.

Can I speak with past clients about their experience?

I respect my clients' privacy, but I can share several testimonials and case studies. These include specific examples of challenges they faced and the outcomes they achieved when working with me. I can send these to you after our call, or you can see some on my testimonials page.

Previous coaching didn't work. Why would this be different?

The Stress Reset Coaching Programmes are different because we focus on understanding why previous attempts haven't stuck before implementing new strategies. The gradual, three-phase approach ensures we're building on solid foundations, rather than just adding more techniques. Plus, the combination of daily tracking and regular coaching lets us identify and address obstacles before they derail your progress.

I'm not sure I can commit to all the coaching sessions...

The coaching sessions are strategically placed to maximise your progress. They're scheduled at key transition points, where focused support makes the most significant difference. However, we can be flexible with the scheduling of these sessions, and I'll ensure you get the most value from each one. Previous clients find these sessions and check-ins crucial for staying on track and making progress quickly.

What if I need support between coaching sessions?

Between sessions, you'll have clear daily guidance through the programme materials, and the tracking tools will help you monitor your progress. I also provide ongoing email support for quick questions or clarifications. While the programme is designed to build your independent stress management skills, you're never left entirely on your own.

I'm going through a particularly stressful period. Should I wait to start?

If you're going through a stressful time, this could be the perfect time to start! The programmes will help you develop real-time strategies for managing current stressors while building resilience for the future. We can use your current challenges as practical opportunities to apply and refine new approaches. Now would be the ideal time to get started!

How does this fit with the therapy I'm currently receiving?

These programmes can complement therapeutic work well, as we focus on practical stress management strategies and habit formation. However, I'd recommend mentioning the programme to your therapist to ensure it aligns with your overall therapeutic goals or treatment plan. What's good is that the tracking tools used in the Stress Reset Coaching Programmes can also provide valuable insights for your therapeutic work.
