Coaching helps you consider and close the gap between where you are and where you want to be. It's practical, action-oriented, and future-focused.
We'll look at how you think, decide, and respond under pressure or stress, then work out what needs to change to improve your performance.
Conversations are focused, and you'll leave each session with a clear idea about what action you'll take.
My role is to ask questions that sharpen your thinking, support your progress, and to hold you accountable to what you decide.
To be clear, it's not to hand you a list of instructions, give you advice, or tell you what to do.
Not sure it's for you? Book a free 20-minute call and let's talk it through.
Counselling usually looks back. It helps you understand what's shaped you and why you feel the way you do. Coaching looks forward. It starts with where you are now and focuses on where you want to be, and how to get there.
I'm both an MBACP-registered counsellor and a certified coach. So if something deeper comes up in our work, I'll notice it, and we'll talk honestly about what support would help most.
Unsure which you need? That's exactly what the free 20-minute call is for.
Coaching might be right for you if you're performing well on paper but running on empty behind closed doors.
Maybe you can relate:
- Everything feels urgent, and it's getting harder to think clearly.
- You keep saying yes when you mean no.
- You're leading others well but losing yourself in the process.
- You know something needs to change, but not what or how.
Coaching gives you space to step back, get clear, and act, with someone in your corner holding you to it.
Still unsure? Book a complimentary call, and we'll work it out together.
Book a free 20-minute call. We'll talk about what's going on and what you want from coaching. No pressure, no obligation.
Choose your package. If we're a good fit, you can choose First Steps, The Reset, or The Shift.
Get set up. I'll send a short agreement covering confidentiality, payments and cancellations, then we book your first session.
Most people meet with me once a month, so the length depends on the package you choose:
First Steps: 2 sessions over two months
The Reset: 3 sessions over three months
The Shift: 6 sessions over six months
We review progress as we go. If you want to continue afterwards, you can book another package or top up sessions.
You bring what's on your mind, and we work through it together.
That might be a decision you keep putting off, a conversation you're dreading, or a week that's left you running on empty. We slow it down, look at what's really going on, and work out what you want to do about it.
Before we finish, you'll decide what you'll aim to do before we next meet.
Ahead of the next session, I'll invite you to fill in a short reflection and preparation form. It asks a few questions about your progress between sessions and what you want to focus on. That way, we can make the most of our time from the start.
Your first session gives us extra time to get to know each other and clarify what you want from coaching.
Each session lasts 50 minutes.
Both. Sessions are the same length and price either way.
Online: via Zoom or Google Meet, from anywhere in the UK. It's often the easiest option if your diary is already full.
In person: at Eastgate House, 121–131 Eastgate Street, Gloucester city centre. There's parking nearby, and it's a 5–7 minute walk from the train and coach stations.
You can also mix the two, depending on what works each month.
First Steps: £480 for 2 sessions
The Reset: £700 for 3 sessions, plus email support
The Shift: £1,380 for 6 sessions, plus email support and weekly check-ins
All sessions are 50 minutes, and I'm not VAT-registered, so there's nothing extra to add.
You can pay for Reset and The Shift in instalments, starting with a 25% deposit. Past clients can book top-up sessions at £180.
Book a complimentary consultation call, and we'll work out which option fits you best.
Yes. Many leaders use their organisation's training or development budget for coaching. I can invoice your company directly. Company-funded packages are paid in full on invoice.
What we talk about in your sessions stays between us. Your employer receives the invoice and, if they ask, confirmation that sessions have taken place. Nothing more, unless you choose to share it.
Need help making the case? Book a complimentary consultation call, and I'll send you a short outline to share with your manager or HR team.
Life happens. If you need to reschedule, just give me 48 hours' notice, and we'll find another time. Cancellations with less notice count as a used session, though I'll always use discretion for genuine emergencies.
To give you some breathing room, each package includes an extra month to fit in all your sessions:
First Steps: within 3 months
The Reset: within 4 months
The Shift: within 7 months
If something significant happens, like illness or bereavement, we can talk about pausing.
Yes. What you share in our sessions stays between us.
There are only a few exceptions, and they're the same ones any professional works under: if I believe you or someone else is at serious risk of harm, or if the law requires me to share information. If that ever happens, I'll talk to you first wherever I can.
Like all good practitioners, I have regular supervision, during which I may discuss our work. But I'll never identify you.
If your employer is paying, they won't hear what we talk about. They'll only receive the invoice and, if they ask, confirmation that sessions have taken place.
Any notes taken are kept securely, in line with UK data protection law. Read our Privacy Policy for more information.
Then I'd want to know, and the sooner, the better.
We'll check regularly whether coaching is giving you what you came for. The Shift includes a formal midpoint review, but you don't need to wait for one. If something isn't landing, tell me, and we'll look at what needs to change.
Sometimes it's the focus. Sometimes it's the pace. Sometimes coaching isn't the right support at that moment. If that's the case, I'll say so and help you work out what might serve you better.
Progress depends on what you want to change and what you put in. My part is to be honest and supportive all the way through.
Counselling is a talking therapy. It gives you a regular, confidential space to talk through what's troubling you, with someone trained to listen without judgement.
That might be something happening now, like stress, anxiety, loss, or a strained relationship. Or something from your past that still shapes how you feel today. Often, it's both.
I won't tell you what you ought to do. Most people have enough of that already. Instead, I'll help you make sense of what's going on, so you can find your own way forward.
Not sure if counselling is right for you? Book a complimentary 20-minute call and let's talk it through.
Counselling might help if something's been weighing on you, and talking to friends or family isn't helpful right now or hasn't been enough.
The types of things you may be able to relate to that come up for others might be:
- you're finding it harder to cope with everyday life
- the same feelings or patterns keep coming back
- something from your past is still affecting you now
- you're carrying something you haven't been able to say out loud
You don't need to be in crisis, or know exactly what's wrong, to start. Deciding to try counselling is a choice only you can make. But talking to someone in confidence can make a real difference.
Most things that affect how you feel, think or relate to others. The areas I work with most often include:
- stress, anxiety, and low mood
- loss, bereavement, and loneliness
- relationship difficulties
- anger, low self-esteem, and other difficult emotions
- childhood experiences, trauma, and experiences of racism
- alcohol, substance use, and pornography addiction
- suicidal thoughts
If what you're facing isn't here, it doesn't mean I can't help. Just ask on the complimentary consultation call.
Not always, and that's normal.
Some people feel lighter after the first session, simply from being heard. Others find things feel harder for a while, because they're facing what they've been carrying.
Both are part of the process.
Change tends to build gradually, over weeks rather than days. That's why I suggest starting with six sessions, then reviewing together how things are going.
If you ever feel stuck, tell me. We'll talk about it openly.
Book a Complimentary Consultation Call. It's a 20-minute call, with no pressure or obligation. We'll talk briefly about what's bringing you to counselling, and you can ask me anything.
Complete a few short forms. If we agree to work together, I'll send you an agreement covering confidentiality, payments and cancellations, plus a form asking for a few more important details.
Attend your first session. I'll ask about you, what feels most pressing, and what you'd like from counselling. It can feel like a lot at first, so it's worth giving yourself some space afterwards.
Most people meet with me weekly for 50 minutes.
Meeting weekly helps build trust and keeps things moving. There's enough time between sessions to reflect, but not so much that we lose the thread. As things settle, some people move to fortnightly sessions.
Others, after working with me for a while, will reconnect every now and again to check in. Especially when there's been a life change.
I suggest starting with six sessions, then reviewing together how things are going and what you need next.
Sessions are available Monday to Wednesday, between 9 am and 5 pm. Online sessions can make it easier to fit one into your working day if needed.
Online or in person, whichever suits you best. The fee is the same either way.
Online: via Zoom or Google Meet, from anywhere in the UK. All you need is a private, quiet space where you won't be distracted or overheard.
In person: at Eastgate House, 121–131 Eastgate Street, Gloucester city centre. The building is fully accessible and has a lift. There's parking nearby, and it's a 5–7 minute walk from the train and coach stations.
No. You don't need a referral, and your GP doesn't need to know you're having counselling unless you choose to tell them.
I do ask for your GP's details when we start, but I'd only contact them if I were seriously concerned for your safety, and wherever possible, I'd talk with you first.
I can't prescribe medication, but I'm happy to work with people who are taking it. If you're thinking about changing your medication, it's important that you speak to your GP first.
Individual counselling: £63 per session
Couples counselling: £95 per session
Students: £50 per session for individual counselling (limited spaces)
All sessions last 50 minutes.
Payment is by bank transfer before each session. You pay as you go, so there's no upfront commitment to a block of sessions.
To ask about a student space, mention it when you book your Complimentary Consultation Call.
*I'm not VAT-registered, so there's no extra charge.
Just let me know at least 24 hours before, and where possible, we'll rearrange.
If you cancel with less notice or miss a session, you'll still need to pay. Your session is a time I keep free for you each week, and it's rarely possible to offer it to someone else at short notice.
I'll always use discretion for genuine emergencies. If you know about holidays or breaks in advance, tell me as early as you can, so we can plan around them.
Yes. As a BACP-registered counsellor, I follow their Ethical Framework, which includes protecting your confidentiality and privacy.
There are a few exceptions: if I believe you or someone else is at risk of serious harm, or if the law requires me to share information. If that ever happens, I'll talk with you first wherever I can.
Like all BACP counsellors, I have regular supervision to keep my practice safe and effective. I may discuss my work there, but never in a way that identifies you, and my supervisor is bound by the same confidentiality.
I keep my notes securely, in line with UK data protection law.
Yes, as long as they know about it and agree.
Counselling works best when someone chooses it. So if you're worried about someone, a gentle, private conversation is often the most helpful first step.
You can start by telling them what you've noticed and that you care, then leave the decision with them.
If they'd like support, they can book a Complimentary Consultation Call themselves, or you're welcome to contact me on their behalf with their full consent.
I work with adults aged 18 and over.
Most sessions are together because we're working on the relationship.
Occasionally, I may meet with each of you individually, as it can help me understand how each of you sees the relationship.
It's important to know that I don't keep secrets between partners. If one of you shares something privately that affects the relationship, I'll help you to bring it into our joint sessions.
That keeps things fair and helps you both trust the process.
I can't offer emergency support between sessions, and I may not see messages straight away. So if you need help now, please reach out to one of these:
If your life, or someone else's, is at immediate risk: call 999 or go to A&E.
For urgent mental health support: call NHS 111 and choose the mental health option.
To talk to someone anytime: call Samaritans free on 116 123, day or night.
If you'd rather text: text SHOUT to 85258.
You don't have to wait until it feels "bad enough" to reach out. And when you're ready, we can talk about it in our next session.
